Each are being considered with the coaching position at the Scottish champions following the former manager's resignation on the start of the week. McKenna's Stance on The Scottish Club The Ipswich boss described the Glasgow giants as "a really big football club" but stressed he is "deeply involved" of a "long-term project" with Ipswich Town. The 39-year-old assumed control of Portman Road in recent years and guided the team to the Premier League with back-to-back promotions, but they won just a handful of victories last campaign as they were relegated back to the Championship and they currently sit twelfth place in the Championship. "There have been such conversations," the English capital native ex- Northern Ireland young player said when questioned about being on Celtic's shortlist. "This isn't a matter I have considered seriously, or where any portion of my concentration is currently. "I possess a special position here at a special team. And we're at a really important phase of the campaign. Everything external hasn't touched my radar." Context and Agreement Details Reports indicate that the manager would be willing to talk to Celtic given his childhood support. "During youth, we all have our preferences," he said when questioned about those. "I don't think all people has to publicly and announce what they used to be, but naturally it's a really big football club." The coach signed a fresh four-year contract in last year and was questioned about his alleged buyout clause. "Throughout coaching agreements, there are provisions," he replied. "I'm unaware what mine are and, were I informed, I wouldn't disclose you regardless! "I tackle this role like I will remain Ipswich manager forever. I know that's not invariably going to be the case, but I will consistently do my best as long as I remain in position." Bellamy's Position Bellamy played for Celtic on loan from the Magpies in 2005, but the former Welsh forward is minded to complete the ongoing World Cup campaign, a stance that would effectively rule out the 46-year-old from assuming the Celtic job. Wales are currently third in their qualifying group behind group toppers Belgium and second-placed North Macedonia. Victories over the minnows and North Macedonia in next month would secure their position in the final qualifying round, but they are virtually assured of reaching that stage, thanks to a successful European competition campaign, should they not end up Group J runners-up. Given his present stance, the Wales manager, whose agreement expires after Euro 2028, would be unavailable until following the play-offs at the minimum.
